چکیده مقاله:
This study aimed to investigate the relationship between a group of Iranian EFL language learners' social class, willingness to communicate, and their tendency to achieve higher degree of proficiency. Fifty-five participants (N= ۵۵) (۲۶ males and ۲۹ females) were selected randomly. Two different of questionnaires were distributed among participants simultaneously. A willingness to communicate and a social class questionnaire were used to determine the social class of the learners and a third questionnaire was administered to find out the participants' tendency to achieve higher proficiency levels. The obtained statistical analyses using ANOVA and Pearson Correlation indicated a significant relationship between the variables.
