Quantum teaching is an alternative method that teachers can implement in teaching different skills. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the quantum teaching method on Iranian students’ vocabulary learning skill and their attitude toward online classes. The whole educational system from elementary to academic level collapsed and online education became a pedagogical shift from traditional method to the modern approach during the lockdown period of the novel coronavirus disease ۲۰۱۹ (COVID-۱۹) across the globe. The participants consist of ۶۰ male and female university students between the age ranges of ۱۸ to ۲۲. In the first step, the Nelson Proficiency Test was administered to identify the proficiency level of the students. The students in the experimental group were taught vocabulary based on the quantum teaching method, while those in the control group received conventional teaching strategies. Although no significant differences were found between the performances of these groups in the pre-test, the results of the post-test indicated that the participants in the experimental group outperformed significantly. Besides, analyzing the questionnaire has revealed that the attitude of learners toward online classes in the experimental group was higher than their counterparts in the control group. It was concluded that quantum teaching is more effective than conventional teaching and it leads to vocabulary skill improvement and increases learners’ attitude toward online classes.
