چکیده مقاله:

Sure he was my son......all my sons. This is Keller's swan song. When he comes to know how Larry died in shame for his father's crime, Keller realizes the enormity of his own sin. So far Keller had been arguing that he did not do anything which other American businessmen would not have done under the circumstances. The welfare of his family was his sole concern. But Larry's letter clears his vision. Larry went to his death because he felt he was involved in his father's guilt. To Larry all the pilots who crashed were like brothers, Keller's other sons. Keller so far considered only Larry and Chris to be his sons. But his social consciousness is awakened. He realizes that he is involved in the death of all the crashed airmen. They too were his sons. He should not limit his family to the three or four individuals genetically connected with him.
