Review of English phonetics at a glance

Phonology is one of the main branches of linguistics that deals with the investigation andstudy of the sounds in the language. The history of sound study dates back to more than ۱۳۰۰years ago. During the past centuries, various aspects of human language have been revealedto researchers and scientists and gradually evolved the science of phonetics. In this article, weare going to examine the sounds in the English language from the phonetic aspect and learnuseful information about these sounds. It should be noted that the content mentioned in thisarticle is exclusively related to the English language and some of the points mentioned heremay not apply to some other languages.
