چکیده مقاله:

The following study was made to improve the reading comprehension of EFL students through using mobile phones. Fifty upper intermediate Iranian female students who were enrolled at Simin language institute in Qaemshahr, Mazandaran province. Participated in this study. In the first step, participants took the reading homogenization test in order to find out whether they were homogeneous in terms of reading comprehension ability or not. The participants are assigned into two groups. The first group is the experimental group, which received the vocabulary that was transferred to mobile phones and distributed to participants Via SMS panel. The experimental group had dictionary in their mobiles that the control group didn't have. In the control group, participants dealt with the vocabularies using the conventional ways. After the treatment, participants responded to the comprehension questions on the Michigan test. The results of this study supported the hot ion that mobile device affects Iranian upper- Intermediate EFL learners reading comprehension ability.
