چکیده مقاله:
Women constitute almost a half of the populations in societies and are considered as creatorsand breeders of next generations. They are important potential human resources contributingto scientific, social and cultural development of countries. Participants (statistical sample) ofthe study were 22(out of 06) executive level female employees who exceed their thirty age’slimit and who employed in governmental sector in sport & physical education organizations inIran. This research study relied upon the survey method for collection of data; the questionnairebased survey has become one of the most widely used techniques. Moghemies's standardBarriers to women's advancement to management position in organization questionnaire, coopersmith (1601) self-esteem inventory consisted of 52 items was used to gain informationon participants’ rate of self-esteem, Sherer's (1692) 16 items general self –efficacy scale wasused to gather data on participants’ self –efficacy. According to mean scores of these variables,executive women perceived these variables very high as barriers to their advancement.Mean scores of self-esteem and self-efficacy in women were respectively 2.1 and 5.2 frompossible max of 2, which were considered above average score for self-esteem and high scorefor self-efficacy.Correlation results showed between self-esteem and barriers to women advancement from theirperspective
