Today, wireless sensor networks are widespread in various fields, and have many applications. Clustering has the potential to reduce energy consumption. Clusters produce hierarchical networks to exploit limited resources of the sensor nodes efficiently. The sensor nodes are limited in terms of energy source, so, will require the methods for removing energy waste, which shortens the lifetime of sensor networks. In this study, an efficient method for hierarchical clustering of routing protocols is provided to improve energy consumption in wireless sensor network. The main goal of this method is to minimize energy consumption and maximize the lifetime of the network. Simulation results show that, compared with similar works, mortality of sensor nodes in the proposed method begins after other algorithms, which indicates increased lifetime of the network. On the other hand, the proposed method compared to the similar works has the highest energy levels, which indicate that energy consumption is reduced
