English language with millions of speakers around the world is well-known as a lingua franca being learned by EFL/ESL learners to make communication possible (Dahl, 2004). EFL/ESL teachers attempt to find the most convenient way to help students to learn and then, use English as a foreign/second language properly like native speakers.Learning idioms is a significant way to master a language. Understanding idioms will enhance comprehension and make conversations more natural. Using idioms in daily conversations is to build a suitable bridge between L1 as the mother tongue and English as a foreign or second language among students English speech. It can be helpful for them to speak richer and more colorful to convey bright shades of meaning.Teaching idiomatic expressions in EFL/ESL classrooms is necessary to make students more familiar with the language which is used by a native speaker, culture as an inseparable part of a language, and customs as the main component of language to show native speakers beliefs. Since, using idioms facilitates understanding of the speakers intention; English language teachers should be more serious about teaching idiomatic expressions to EFL/ESL learners. Therefore, this study intends to point out the effects of learning idioms as an inseparable part on learning English and to equip non-native speakers with.
