چکیده مقاله:
Study of the microstructure of silicon carbide(SiC) membrane as a function of sintering temperature andthe percentage amount of additive kaolin is the outcome ofthe experimental fabrications presented in this paper. TheSEM micrographs are used to investigate the impact ofabove parameters on the porosity of membrane. Theexperimental results show that the rise in the temperaturecauses more sintering of powder particles, growing granules,augmentation of the number of pores and consequentlyincreasing the total porosity of membrane. UsingXRD analyses, it is found that SiC amorphous phase ishighly sensitive to the temperature and its crystallizationphysically grows with temperature increase.
