Novel modification of whey protein isolate with PEG by aminoacid conjugation

Modification of proteins are attractive object for therapeutic agent, biotechnology, nanotechnology. PEGylation can be good selection because of it’s biocompatible, uncharged, and amphipathic polymer. Here modification of WPI with mPEG was investigated. In other to efficiene conjugate of mPEG and WPI, an additional speacer such aminoacid should be used. FTIR analysis was reveals formation of new bonding that proved successful conjugation. The wide range of applications where the obtained conjugates are used, including drug delivery and treapatic agents is a testament to their promising properties and potential to impact even more fields.This was a novel method for modification of PEGylation.
